All right so just yesterday. I did a video about the support a creator code code program and today. We’ve got the official announcement.
So the official fortnite status account released this. Information they said epic. Games.
Supporter creator 20. Is here creators get ready we’ve put the final touches on.
Supporter creator 20. And have opened the new program for new applicants as of november 30 over the next few months. We’ll also begin migrating existing supporter creator members to the new system here’s a look at what you can expect then they say what’s new in support of creator 20.
The launch of supporter creator comes with a host of improvements. Including a refreshed dashboard. A new automated application process and automated security fraud.
Checks for social and payment methods. These improvements will reduce application approval time so that new creators will be able to begin earning faster.
Additionally. The age for program eligibility is now 13 years old in all countries except. South korea.
Which remains 14 years old next. It says new creator applications reopen beginning. Today.
Creators can once again apply for program. Membership using a revamped application page.
Anyone who has previously submitted a supported creator application that is either pending review or has not been approved will also need to reapply on this date. Then it says note creators that previously violated the affiliate agreement. Which includes violations of the support of crater code of conduct and were removed from the program will not be eligible to reapply or be reinstated next.
It says. How creator codes are made and how you can. Prepare once your.
Supporter creator 20. Application is approved your creator code will be automatically generated based on your current epic game’s display name.
If your display name. Contains any special characters other than an underscore dash or dot will remove them and add randomly assigned numbers to the end of your new creator code and this is to make sure. It’s typable and unique after your creative code has been generated you will only be able to change it once during any 12 month period.
Now if you’re already an existing creator and you have a code already this part’s for you it says in the coming months current support creator members will need to migrate their accounts to. Support creator 20. These creators will receive notifications within the portal and via email.
When it is time to begin the migration process. Creators will then be asked to review.
The new supporter creator. Agreement and provide updated social media. Tax and payment information.
So that’s a lot of information to process. But remember you have to meet the requirements. And that’s what these are right here.
So it’s good that they lowered the age to 13. It used to be 14 or older.
But you still have to have a thousand followers on at least one of the following platforms youtube twitch twitter facebook instagram or vk. I don’t see tic toc on there surprisingly then of course you have to abide by the creator content. Guidelines and you have to be able to receive a payment through hyper wallet.
Which is what they pay you through. So. Basically you need a bank.
Account and your parents could supply that if you’re underage okay. So i wanted to mention this because on twitter.
I see a lot of people very very upset and i’m trying to figure out why. But as i read the rules here. I saw what everyone was mad about so listen to this it says will i be removed.
If i do not meet. The compensation threshold. Here’s why everyone’s upset it says creators must meet the 100 payment threshold within a 12 month period or the affiliate’s earnings will expire and the account will be closed.
So if you get accepted into the program. You have one year to make 100 otherwise.
They close your account and i guess you basically lose your code. So just to break that down for you guys if your supporters using your code spend fifty thousand v. Bucks.
You would get twenty five dollars so that means in a year’s time people have to spend 200 000 v. Bucks in order for you to keep your code because if they purchase a total of 200 000 v. Bucks that would earn you a hundred dollars so that’s a lot of v bucks.
So if you’re an up and coming creator that just got a thousand followers you likely won’t meet that in a year’s time. I guess it all depends on how many people use your code.
But that’s going to be tough. So i can see why people would be upset about this. But who knows they just introduced this maybe they’ll fine tune all the rules here.
But so far that’s what they said you have to earn a hundred dollars in 12 months or you lose your code. So there you go that is a lot to process. But everyone can apply now unless you got banned from the program.
Before then you’re not eligible. 13. Years of age is the new cutoff.
So that’s nice and apparently the new dashboard is going to be user friendly now again. If you already have a code. Then you have to wait a little bit until you get an email and then you can transfer over to the new system.
